Iron Sharpens Iron.
Westfall Player Development was built to provide athletes with intentional, individualized development that translates to competition. No shortcuts. No one-size-fits-all training. Just purposeful work, measurable development, and a commitment to becoming a better player and competitor.
Caleb Westfall
Founder & Owner | Westfall Player Development
Caleb Westfall is the Founder and Owner of Westfall Player Development and a college baseball coach with experience in player development, recruiting, scouting, offensive development, pitching development, baseball technology, and analytics.
Westfall currently serves as an Assistant Baseball Coach at UT Arlington, where his responsibilities include recruiting and player development. Prior to UT Arlington, he worked with South Carolina Baseball as an Assistant Director of Player Development and Graduate Assistant.
Throughout his coaching career, Westfall has worked with hitters and pitchers while developing individualized player-development plans, building scouting systems, evaluating player movement and performance, and translating advanced information into actionable coaching.
His experience includes working with technologies and platforms such as TrackMan, TruMedia, BATS, Blast Motion, PitchCom, Trajekt, and MARV.
At the center of his coaching philosophy is the belief that technology should inform development — not replace coaching. Every athlete is different, and development should be built around the individual rather than forcing every player into the same model.
The objective is simple: develop better baseball players, better athletes, and better competitors.
The WPD Standard
Individualized
Every athlete moves differently, develops differently, and has different needs.
Intentional
Every drill, rep, adjustment, and training decision should have a reason.
Competitive
Development ultimately has to translate when the game starts.
The goal is to build better baseball players and better competitors — not simply chase numbers or make movements look good in training.
Iron Sharpens Iron.
Development doesn't happen by accident. It happens when athletes are challenged, coached, held accountable, and consistently exposed to purposeful work.
"Iron Sharpens Iron" represents the standard behind WPD — the belief that athletes improve when they surround themselves with people and environments that demand growth.
The goal isn't perfection. The goal is continued development.
